Every Woman Matters: A Walk for Women and Their Families

Mark your calendar for the 2nd annual Every Woman Matters: A Walk for Women and Their Families.

Last year’s walk was attended by well over 4,000 people and we expect this year’s attendance to be even greater.

The walk will take place, rain or shine, at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, field 5. Proceeds from the 5K walk will benefit the new Katz Institute for Women's Health and Katz Women's Hospitals of North Shore-LIJ Health System.

Hosted jointly by North Shore-LIJ and the Commerce & Industry Council, the 3.1-mile walk is open to women, men and children of all ages. It will feature exhibitions, hands-on activities and giveaways for the whole family. Refreshments and musical entertainment will round out the morning.

The walk is being supported by title sponsors LIREG (Long Island Real Estate Group) and Dottie Herman and Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate along with many other generous individual and corporate sponsors.
