This is a unique experience because coaches of the C.W. Post Pioneers have agreed to wear a microphone during the practice, giving attendees the perspective of being inside the huddle.  Attendees will discover some of the complex strategy and nuances that go into an NCAA football program.

Admission is free for Town of Oyster Bay residents, but all attendees are encouraged to bring two cans of food, which will be donated to Island Harvest to benefit the fight against hunger.  The event will be preceded by a youth clinic featuring players and coaches from C.W. Post, as well as a player barbecue, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The Town of Oyster Bay is pleased to support the sport of football, which is interwoven in the fabric of the Long Island community, and feels that it is an honor to have an outstanding college team like C.W. Post practicing on one of their fields.  It speaks volumes about our outstanding facilities here in the Town.

Family Football Night will provide a memorable night for fans of the sport and provide a rare opportunity to learn the sideline plays from coaches.  The collegiate players will also serve as role models for the Town's young players, who can one day aspire to further their education through athletics.  Best of all, this event celebrates the game of football and advances a worthwhile charitable endeavor at the same time.
