Massapequa Football Beats Baldwin 28-14 on Homecoming Day.

Massapequa raises record to 2-1.

The Massapequa Chiefs had the full force of their alumni behind them in their homecoming victory of Baldwin Saturday. They also had one notable Baldwin alumnus on their side.

Massapequa Chiefs Head Coach Kevin Shippos attended Baldwin and played for the Bruins, but had his team well prepared to play against his alma mater.

Hero: Matt Pagano threw two Touchdown passes and rushed for another.

Turning Point: After jumping out to a 28-7 lead after three quarters, the Bruins narrowed the gap with a fourth quarter TD. But a huge sack by Anthony Turano, killed Baldwin's momentum.

Quotable: "It's nice to get a victory, but it's a little bittersweet," Shppos said. "I am a [Baldwin] Bruin and I will always root for them unless they are playing us. They played as hard as I expected them to, but our boys stepped up and did what they had to do to come out on top."
