Massapequans Fall at World Series

Arizona scores twice in the sixth Wednesday to rally past Massapequa at Junior League World Series.

The Massapequa International Little League is off to an 0-2 start at the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Mich.

The tribe from Massapequa dropped a 2-1 decision to Rio Rico, Ariz. Wednesday when Arizona scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Winners of its first state title since 1995, the East Region champs took a 1-0 lead in the first when Massapequa's Matt Pinto doubled home Michael Cottone, according to JLWS.

Massapequa also lost 5-0 to Lafayette, La. on Monday. 

Massapequa will face Bedford, Ind. at noon Thursday.
