As dejected Massapequans still mourn the New York Jets' loss in the AFC Championship game, they still can't help but get pumped up for the ultimate Football clash: The Super Bowl, which takes place this Sunday, February 6th at 6:30 p.m.

As the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers prepare to do battle on the gridiron, Patch helps local Football fans gear up in their own way: by looking around town for the best places to eat, drink, and be merry while watching hardened athletes toss the pigskin  and smash into each under Sunday.

Massapequa's Bowl, located at 4235 Merrick Road, is having a super-solid Super Bowl party package this Sunday. Just a $20 cover charge gets you unlimited bowling during pre-game, two Complimentary draft beers, finger food including buffalo hot wings, and snacks.

Paddy's Loft

Paddy's Loft at 1286 Hicksville Road is offering a great package that includes complimentary appetizers, a half-time hot dinner buffet, and fours hours premium open bar, all for $50.

Johnny McGorey's

Well-known sports pub Johnny McGorey's, located at 131 Front St across from the Massapequa Park LIRR station, is offering what might be an unbeatable deal for the Super Bowl this Sunday. A $35 cover charge grants you access to an extensive buffet and open bar (yes, you read that right) for the full duration of the game.

The Blue Parrot

The owner of The Blue Parrot is planning on basing his food and drink specials on attendance this Sunday. Right now he's debating bringing in heroes or pizza for his guests. Also available will be $20 buckets (which includes four domestic beers and four non-top shelf shots).

Coyle's Tavern

A recent addition to the neighborhood at 1 Central Avenue (former home of Porky's Pub), Coyle's is planning on having several different food and drink specials to compliment the viewing of the big game for patrons. Six-foot heroes are also planned to be out to chow down on.

McCann's Pub & Grill

McCanns Pub & Grill at 5590 Merrick Road is offering $3 bottles of Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light and Miller Light (in addition to $9.50 pitchers) for the Super Bowl this Sunday. Also, a buffet will be provided for hungry patrons during half-time.
