Ralph Marigliano Named to Molloy College Sports Hall of Fame

North Massapequa resident will be inducted next month.

North Massapequa resident and former Molloy College basketball star Ralph Marigliano has been named to the school's sports hall of fame.

Marigliano was one of the pioneers of Molloy's scholastic basketball program and was one of its first recruits before the team was given NCAA Division II status in 1992.

Prior to that he played on the school's club team, a spokesman for the Molloy athletic department said.

In his four seasons at the school, Marigliano played in 98 games. He averaged 18.8 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. He is also an honorary member of the 1,000 Point Club.

Joining Marigliano in the Hall will be soccer star Carole Gerrity of Syosset and former equestrian coach Kyle Matthew.

Molloy will hold their induction dinner October 15 at 6 p.m.
