On Tuesday, Nassau County officials announced a big cleanup project that will include volunteers in and around Massapequa.
They will be cleaning Massapequa Lake, focussing on the removal of water chestnut plants, which can threaten life in and around the lake.
This week Patch employees are also taking part in the Give 5 program, which allows us to give back to the communities we serve by doing volunteer work.
