Food lovers and lovers of good company will get a chance to sample some of the area's best cuisine this week while helping a good cause.
YES Community Counseling is hosting their 6th annual "Taste of the Town" event Thursday.
Proceeds will go to the Massapequa-based non-profit which provides a variety of services including social work, counseling and drug and alcohol treatment.
Attendees will sample dishes and products from local restaurants and other businesses.
Among those participating will be, Big Daddy's, Buteras, Cafe Tascano, Cascarino's Ciao Baby , Library Cafe, Maggie's on Park, The Good Life and the Nutty Irishamn.
It will run from 6-9 p.m. at St. Luke's Church, 145 Prospect Street in Farmingdale. Church parking is located on Conklin Avenue.

Tickets will also be available at the door.
