Tax Deadline and Library Reorganization

As we proceed through the dog days of August we have an important town deadline and a fresh start for the Massapequa Public Library on tap. Each Monday we'll tell you about the can't-miss events, important public meetings and whatever else is going around town. Here's what's happening in and around Massapequa this week:

Tax Deadline: Pay your taxes! Monday is the final day that the Town of Oyster Bay will accept General Tax Payment without penalty. THe Town's Hicksville Annex will be open for tax collection Monday.

Library Meeting:  The Massapequa Public Library Board of Trustees will hold their annual reorganization meeting Monday at 7:45 p.m.

Senior Program: THis week is the final week of the Town of Oyster Bay's Summer Senior program. There will be classes at the North Massapequa Community Center Monday and Friday as well as a Friday class at Marjorie Post Park.

Classic Cars: Classic Car Nights continue at the Massapequa Long Island Rail Road Station Friday. It gets underway at 7 p.m.

Summer Reading: THis is the final week of the Massapequa Library's Teen Summer Reading Club. THe program will wrap up on Saturday.
