Fast thinking good move by the intended victim. Gee that description, minus the mask fits about 99%Read More of all the landscapers in the area. I'm just wondering if the alleged perp. had a valid gun permit and conformed to all the new rules that our local NYS Assemblyman Tom McKevit voted for.

If a business isn't smart enough to install a camera security system these days, they had it coming.Read More A couple of hundred dollars would have caught the crime. My guess, its a person that works in a similar store that knows the business.

We were going through inventory that's why he was let in. Following store manager direction. DontRead More worry people this mall is allowing bars to come in this mall and wants to stay open till 12. Stop complaining about one store and look at the rest of them. This could happen to anyone and any store.

How was it handed to them? Its called a police investigation. Great work by our police!
Ed April 29, 2013 at 09:11 am
What part of this story indicates great work by the NCPD? All they did was arrest three men thatRead More were handed to them on a silver platter. No great investigating was needed.

Massa April 21, 2013 at 10:21 pm
They are around, they are mostly in the low income areas. The population has grow over the yearsRead More because of illegals aliens joining gangs with members that are from their old country. This is why they should put more restrictions on who us coming to this country and if rhey are arrested and in a gang they should be sent back to their country.
LT April 21, 2013 at 09:34 am
I have been living in long island since 1991. I have never felt as tho I were in the presence ofRead More gang members. I am, however, aware they exist here. I guess I've just been lucky.
Massa April 21, 2013 at 07:57 am
All these gangs are a big problem in Long Island. It is good to see that some were caught and lockedRead More up, but for how long? These gangs need to be broken up. I think a lot of the problem comes from illegals aliens who come to the country and join these gangs. They need to deport anyone of these members who commit violent acts.

Deet is the insectide that is used to kill ticks. Also when outside in woods wear a hat.Ticks canRead More fall off trees and land on your scalp which is a high blood source. You will not feel the bite. When they are done feeding they fall off and you may not even be aware you were bitten. For a more detailed explanation of Lyme disease go to my Patch article written June 13, 2011. Tick bites are very serious. Stay safe this spring and summer and always check yourself for tick bites, especially if you are at the beaches and in the woods before you enter your house. Dr. Cynthia Paulis
