A Lindenhurst man who was riding in a car stopped for a traffic violation was busted after officers found drugs on him, Nassau County police said.
Cops said they stopped a 2001 Toyota after the driver failed to signal a lane change at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday.
As officers approached the car, they noticed the back seat passenger Wayne Green, 29, making what police called "suspicious movements." Police searched the car and said they found 27 bags containing a substance believed to be cocaine.
Cops said they also found 10 Alprazolam pills that did not have a valid prescription. Alprazolam is an anti-axiety drug commonly known by the trade name Xanax.
Green was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
