Massapequa Store Clerk Accused of Selling Alcohol to a Minor

A clerk at a Massapequa beverage store sold alcohol to an underage patron, police said.

Christopher Sweeny, 22, who works at Bayside Beverage at 4165 Merrick Road, was nabbed as part of Nassau County's "Project 21" program.

Sweeny allegedly sold a six-pack of beer to a 19-year-old girl. He was charged with prohibited sale of alcohol to a person under 21, which is a misdemeanor. 

The clerk was given an appearance ticket and will appear in court on June 19.
