Massapequa Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Feds: Gordon Woolf allegedly downloaded photos of children as young as 8.

A Massapequa man was arrested on child pornography involving children as young as 8-years-old, federal prosecutors said.

Gordon Woolf, a former Nassau County probation officer, admitted to a Department of Homeland Security Agent that he viewed pornographic images of children, according to court papers.

The agent was investigating cases of child pornography shared within New York State. Woolf's computer had come up as having downloaded pornographic files and agents obtained a search warrant for his Massapequa home.

Woolf was home at the time of the search Tuesday and told agents that he'd been viewing child porn for about 10 years, according to the court papers. He said he used search terms such as "13 year old” and also told the agent, he deletes the images because he knows “it’s not right,” prosecutors said.

Agents did recover a disk, which featured pornographic images of a 9-year-old girl, but titles of files he received indicate he viewed images of girls as young as 8, according to court papers.

Woolf is undergoing psychiatric evaluation, authorities said. His lawyer did not immediately return requests for comment.
