Massapequa Girls Soccer Wins Conference Title

The Massapequa Girls Soccer team (15-1-1) defeated Calhoun High School Tuesday at Denton Avenue to win the Conference AA championship.

Taylor Kugler and Hope Breslin each scored for the Chiefs, and Mackenzie Palmer netted an assist.

Both goaltenders were stellar, as Calhoun's Ally Marcello made 13 saves in the defeat and Massapequa's Katie Hatziyianis made 10 saves to preserve the shutout.

Prior to Calhoun, the Chiefs defeated Hicksville (4-0) and East Meadow (3-0). The Colts topped Plainview JFK (4-1) and MacArthur (2-0) before falling to the Chiefs.
